Women's Ministries at SSM
The St. Stephen the Martyr Women of the ELCA group exists to bring women together in fellowship and to connect women with various ministries of the church. Here are some exciting ministry possibilities to get involved in!
2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month beginning at 10:15 a.m. – Women’s Bible Study is year-round (except in December). Coffee/tea, great Bible study, and wonderful fellowship.
2nd Wednesday of each month all year except for December – SSM Loose Ends Luncheons at 11:45 a.m. at a restaurant in the area (wonderful fellowship!)
3rd Monday of each month – Piece Makers Quilting: (You don’t have to know how to quilt – come and we will find a job for YOU!)
September Thankoffering Weekend at SSM – The quilts, knitted caps, shawls, etc. made during the year are displayed and blessed before they go to people in need. An offering is taken to help ship them.
1st Weekend in December, SSM Loose Ends Bake & Craft Sale
Gather, the magazine of Women of the ELCA, offers a mix of articles, theological reflections, devotions, and stories of comfort and challenge that help readers grow in faith and engage in ministry and action. Gather is published 10 times a year with combined issues in January/February and July/August.
