Summer is usually a slower time in the church year but now that we are starting to come back after more than a year of being shut down, more activity is coming back to SSM. COVID restrictions are being eased and some activities are coming back into the building. Here are some of the things we will see for the rest of the summer.
- We have already eased mask guidelines. Vaccinated individuals may remove masks while seated, but all should still wear masks while moving about the building.
- July 18th – No more seating and/or distancing restrictions during worship services.
- August 8th – Restarting the Coffee Hour after the service.
- August 28th – We will start having Saturday evening services again
Wednesday evening worship in the Prayer Garden continues. Dates are July 14th & 28th and August 11th & 25th. All starting at 7:00 pm
Some of the ministries at SSM are returning.
July 12th – Quilting Bee – The Piecemakers Quilting Group has quietly been working on quilts for Lutheran World Relief. In July there will be a Quilting Bee from 10 am to 3 pm.
August 11 – Sewing Day for School Bags – Didn’t happen last year but starting up this year. The project requires a lot of donations from members of the congregation. Click here for details.
All of this is subject to change since synod and village guidelines can change at any time. Check back here for any updates.
