Outreach for Hope supports life-giving ministries that serve the people of low-income communities in the Greater Milwaukee Synod, ELCA. These ministries not only provide help with daily necessities, but most importantly, they are centers in the heart of their communities for providing transformation and hope. Outreach for Hope seeks donations primarily from generous individuals. It also receives gifts from organizations and from special offerings of congregations.

There are 4 locations to choose from

  • Ozaukee County - starting in Grafton
  • Waukesha County - Starting in Dousman
  • Racine County - at Petrifying Springs Park
  • Milwaukee County - at Washington Park

At each location, there are routes for walking, running, or bike riding (except no biking at Washington Park).

Click HERE to download the event flyer.

For more information, contact

Shelly Rosenstock

Participants can go to any of the 4 locations, but those of us from SSM are encouraged to do the event at the Waukesha location where a 30-mile road ride begins at 8:00 am, a 14-mile trail ride begins at 9:30 am, and the 2-mile walk or 5K run begins at 10:00 am.  Registration is from 7 - 9:30 and the picnic follows at 11:00 am.

More information for this location and all of the other locations can be found by following the link to the registration site.
