Outreach for Hope supports life-giving ministries that serve the people of low-income communities in the Greater Milwaukee Synod, ELCA. These ministries not only provide help with daily necessities, but most importantly, they are centers in the heart of their communities for providing transformation and hope. Outreach for Hope seeks donations primarily from generous individuals. It also receives gifts from organizations and from special offerings of congregations.

There are 4 locations to choose from

  • Ozaukee County - starting in Grafton
  • Waukesha County - Starting in Waukesha
  • Racine County - at Petrifying Springs Park
  • Milwaukee County - at Washington Park

At each location, there are routes for walking, running, or bike riding (except no biking at Washington Park).

Participants can choose any of the 4 locations. See the poster in the narthex for who is participating at each location. Most of SSM bike riders go to Waukesha. Some walkers are going to Washington Park. Long bike rides begin at 8:30, shorter bike rides at 9:30 and walkers/runners begin at 10 at all locations. The picnic follows after 11:00. You may choose to picnic only!
